Staff

The District's station is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year with a minimum of 4 personnel. Our daily staffing consists of one Career Captain, one Career Engineer one Career Firefighter/Paramedic and one Career Firefighter/EMT. This staffing allows the District to consistently initiate a response to emergencies within 60 seconds of the receipt of an alarm from our dispatch center. It is our continuing mission to insure a timely response to all incidents within our district.  Our personnel also works closely with and provides mutual aid to our neighboring Districts of Monte Rio and Forestville.

Each of our 12 Career Firefighters is assigned to one of three work shifts.  Each shift works a 48 hour tour. In addition to emergency response, personnel perform a variety of other functions such as training, apparatus and equipment maintenance, and fire prevention. The operation and administration of the District is overseen by  District’s Fire Chief, who works a 40 hour week and is responsible for implementing policy established by the Board of Directors and for the overall coordination and direction of the District.
