The District is located in the unincorporated area of western Sonoma County California, along engine 5680 and medic 576 the lower Russian River, and encompasses approximately 20 square miles and serves a population of almost 5000 citizens and many more seasonal vacationers. The Fire District personnel and equipment respond to over 1700 calls for service each year from a single fire station located in the town of Guerneville.

Protection Services

The Russian River Fire Protection District is a "combination" fire department comprised of 12 Career Firefighters supplemented by Volunteers and Interns who proudly provide emergency response to fires, medical emergencies, hazardous materials releases, man-made and natural disasters as well as non-emergency response to a wide variety of public requests for assistance.  The District also staffs an Advanced Life Support transport Ambulance.
