Hometown: Guerneville, born and raised.
Educational Background: Rob attended Guerneville Elementary (K-8) and was the first recipient of the Lincoln Stewart Award, a scholarship presented at 8th grade graduation, by Guerneville Fire. El Molino High School and SRJC. EMT, Swift Water Rescue Technician, California State Fire Investigator, Fire Officer.
Career History: Rob began working as soon as he was old enough at J's Amusement Park then on to Safeway. In 1990, Rob became a Sonoma County Sheriff Department Explorer, then was able to join Guerneville (Russian River) Fire as a volunteer at 16 years old. At the time the age requirement was 18 however Rob was able to gather a few others that were interested in joining and the District lowered the age to 16. Rob left Safeway and became a Correctional Deputy for the Sonoma County Sheriff Department. During this time, Rob was able to stay active with Russian River Fire and was hired full-time in 2002 as an Engineer. Rob became Acting Captain in 2004 before promoting to Captain in 2006. Rob became the Operations Captain in 2010.
Special Assignments: Operations Captain, Fire Prevention and Fire Investigator.
Hobbies: Hunting, fishing, camping, family trips with his travel trailer.
